GM. This is Jesus By Heart. The newsletter that helps you memorize the Bible and find wonderful Christian art for your home.
✝️ Luke 11:28 · Day 5 of 5.
Here is how this works. Each week we learn one thing Jesus said, by heart.
You see the same words every day, Monday to Friday.
Each day a few more words go missing, so you fill them in yourself.
By Friday you can say the whole thing from memory.
You'll also find this week's art piece below.

💡 CONTEXT / 5 OF 5 — Recap and Try
Let's pull the week together.
Here is the whole arc, in four lines:
Monday: A woman in the crowd blessed Jesus's mother's body. Luke, the writer who loved Mary most, is the one who tells us Jesus pointed somewhere deeper.
Tuesday: One small word does the work. 'Rather.' He takes her 'blessed' and lifts it to a bigger family, anyone who hears and keeps God's word. He had said the same thing back in chapter 8.
Wednesday: 'Keep' means guard it, hold it, live it. The same word Luke used for Mary, who treasured and kept things in her heart her whole life.
Thursday: Jesus kept the Father's word himself, from the temple to the wilderness to the garden. Mary said the first yes. He said the last.
So here is the verse, whole, one more time: 'Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!'
Now, here is something to try. This weekend, pick one short thing Jesus said. This week's verse counts. Write it on a sticky note or a scrap of paper. Put it somewhere you will see it Saturday and Sunday. The bathroom mirror, the coffee maker, the car dash. Each time you pass it, say it out loud, once.
That is what keeping a word looks like. Not locked in a drawer. Out where it can follow you around and shape your day. Hear it, then keep it.

🙏 PRAY THIS
Jesus, you said the blessed life is to hear your word and keep it. As we carry one of your sayings with us this weekend, let it sink past our memory and into how we actually live. Amen.
That's it for this week! Your next verse lands Monday.
Know someone who could use one short verse a day? Forward this to them and spread the love of Jesus.
